It looks like yesterdays announcement of the upcoming Diablo 3 Patch 2.3.0 PTR got fans pretty anxious. So much so they went onto the Diablo 3 forums and asked if the patch will eventually come to consoles. Thankfully, Blizzard was quick to respond.

As fans took to the forums to inquire if the latest, jam packed patch that is set to release in a few weeks, after the PTR is said and done, Blizzard responded back to assure fans that they will likely see the additions in the console versions as well. Diablo 3 Community Manager, Grimiku took the forums with this reply:

“The current plan is to deploy the PS4 and Xbox One patch at the same time as the PC as we have previously done. This is subject to change, though, so we’ll be sure to keep you all updated as we get closer to the patch date.”

It looks like that it will be hitting next-gen consoles afterall, but those who own Diablo 3 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 might be out of luck. It makes sense given the PC-like architecture of the next-gen consoles, it makes it easier for them to release patches.

Diablo 3 patch 2.3.0 is set to add new areas, legendaries, an artifact, and even add new difficulty levels to enhance the experience for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
