Coronavirus has without a doubt brought a lot of sadness and worry to the world. Many have had to stay inside due to quarantines, and some have even had to deal with the disease itself. Despite this though, game developers are looking to help out those without much to do. They’ve been offering free games and perks in their games, and Blizzard Entertainment is looking to join those developers. Today, the teams behind World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, and Starcraft II are giving away some free perks. The news was announced on their official Twitter pages, and the perks are available to use now until April.

World of Warcraft players are no doubt grinding more than ever right now, and Blizzard recognizes this. All experience gains in the game are now increased by 100%, allowing you to level up characters much faster. In-game, this is known as the buff “Winds of Wisdom”. The buff will be on your characters until April 20th, so be sure to get in there and get grinding.

The majority of Heroes of the Storm players likely want to get into some new characters during this quarantine. Blizzard is looking to let you decide who you want better, and are offering all characters for free until April 2nd. Make sure to jump into the game and try a few out. If I may make a few suggestions, a couple of my favorite characters are Abathur and Lt. Morales. You might want to check out the newest character Deathwing if you haven’t already though.

And finally, there’s Starcraft II. It might not have a huge following compared to the ranked ladder and regular play, but there’s a good amount of people who enjoy the Co-Op mode. It’s quite an enjoyable experience, and leveling the co-op commands is quite neat. With that in mind, the team behind Starcraft II has released the level cap on all commanders until April 2nd. Be sure to try each of the different characters and if you like one, buy it so you can continue playing it.

If you’re going to hop into any of Blizzard’s games and take advantage of these freebies, let us know what you plan to get up to. We love to hear your stories. Otherwise, stay tuned here at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
