Blizzard Entertainment announced today that they will have a new Diablo Immortal closed beta. Blizzard held a closed alpha earlier this year, with this closed beta looking more like what the final product will look and play like.

According to Comicbook, the beta will open in Australia and Canada today, October 28, at 5 PM PDT. Blizzard plans to expand the Diablo Immortal closed beta in the coming weeks to China, Japan, and Korea. Bringing the total of available time to play at about three months.

What’s New with Satan?

Initially, the classes included Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, and Wizard. The closed alpha that happened earlier this year added the Crusader class and now with this new closed alpha Blizzard is letting us play with a new class; The Necromancer class, letting players take control of hordes undead so they can be used to vanquish enemies. Another big addition that was requested heavily after the alpha was controller support, much welcomed news from the console-friendly fans.

PvE and PvP are also getting some adjustments from the last beta with The Cycle of Strife game mode now featuring Challenge of the Immortal; this new mode allows 30 human players to go toe-to-toe against one overtly powerful, human player. Now if that doesn’t sound like fun, then I don’t know what does.

No news on if the level cap will be raised. The fully released game will have a cap of 60, while the closed alpha had a cap of 55. Although there will be brand new gear and new items to use in the enticing Challenge of the Immortal mode.

Nothing official on the release date either. Blizzard mentioned that they intended for the mobile game to be released this year, but after the closed alpha, they backtracked and have mentioned that it will be released in the first half of 2022.
