Warcraft is coming to mobile! A formal reveal of the mobile game will be made on May 3, 2022, at 1pm ET. Blizzard sent out a round of emails and a tweet announcing the upcoming reveal. Fans can catch the stream at Blizzard’s page specifically designed for it.

After the ridiculed announcement of Diablo Immortal at Blizzcon in 2018, Blizzard has clearly taken a step back and revised its announcement strategy. Diablo Immortal has also jumped to PC and will launch simultaneously with the mobile version on June 2, 2022.

It will be interesting to see what kind of title is announced and how it ties into the larger Warcraft universe. For years, World of Warcraft players have been clamoring for a mobile version of pet battles—and while it’s unlikely to be that, one can only hope.

Other Blizzard mobile entries include the juggernaut TCG that is Hearthstone, the Battle.net Authenticator, WoW Companion, and Battle.net app. So, while Blizzard isn’t exactly new to mobile, it has yet to do anything massive since the launch of Hearthstone in 2014.
