According to director Joe Shely, Diablo 4’s campaign will last around 35 hours for those who only want to focus on the essential parts. This time will be increased considerably if the game is fully explored. At least as far as the first point is concerned, Diablo 4 seems to be on the right track. By comparison, Diablo 3’s primary campaign lasted about 18 hours.
This Shows How Big Diablo 4 is Going To Be
As Blizzard’s director Joe Shely announced in an interview with Gamespot, we will need about 35 hours for Diablo 4’s main campaign. 35 hours for the main campaign is a lot, but that’s not all. Altogether we will be able to explore more than 150 dark dungeons, many of which should be optional. In addition, there is an extensive exploration of the shared upper world with many loot, enemies, and exciting NPCs.
According to the director, Diablo 4 is designed to be played for many years. The almost infinitely long playing time is made possible by the new Paragon system. Your character has “boards” on which you can unlock upgrades and unique traits. You can permanently unlock new skill boards and keep leveling up your characters.
Blizzard showed off Diablo 4 during this year’s Xbox and Bethesda showcase. Diablo 4 will be released in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
