Round 2…TEST!

For the gaming roguelite fanatics out there, another title awaits your attention. Today, NEOWIZ announced the opening for a Focus Group Testing session to acquire feedback on their upcoming title, Blade Assault.

The next round of playtesting for Blade Assault will focus on getting feedback on its refined combat mechanics and Core system. New weapon upgrades and gears will expand playability and choice, and Hyper Cores emit powerful skills that work on a cooldown process. Comparatively, with the new player feedback, the developers – TeamSuneat – prepared a tutorial video to help players better understand the story.

The test has commenced today. It will run from April 14 – 21, a full week to keep roguelite enthusiasts content. You can participate now by clicking on this link for the game’s Steam page. There, you’ll find the “Join the Bade Assault Playtest” button to request access. Notifications will be sent out from the developers when a window is open. As a matter of fact, the test build can also be played in English, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified).

What is Blade Assault?

In the narrative of Blade Assault, the results of the disastrous Red Stone War have left the world divided. The rich and greedy reside ever so soundly up in the sky city of Esperanza. Mutants lurk and creep amongst the outside grounds. And then there’s the Undercity, where basically everyone who isn’t rich or infested inhabits. Become a part of the resistance against Esperanza and take down the corruption that has smeared this world with filth.

Blade Assault‘s design is developed with retro-futuristic 2D pixel art to fit its sci-fi setting. Primarily, its main gameplay consists of quick-paced action, platforming, and roguelite aspects. Additionally, you’ll encounter a variety of distinctive NPCs throughout your journey while obtaining different abilities and upgrades to use in combat.
