The latest iteration of Xiaomi’s gaming-focused sub-brand BlackShark’s gaming flagship, the BlackShark 2 is going to be launched in India on May 27. The BlackShark 2 launched in China earlier this year, and the company has now sent out press invites for the India launch of the gaming smartphone as well.

As far as specs are concerned, the BlackShark 2 comes with top-of-the-line hardware inside. There’s a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, with a 1080×2340 resolution. The phone also comes with the Snapdragon 855 SoC for all the heavy lifting, paired with up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. There’s also a 4,000 mAh battery with a USB-C charging port, and support for Quick Charge 4.0 that supports up to 27W chargers.

The phone is launching in India on May 27, and will compete against the likes of the OnePlus 7 Pro, and the Asus ROG Phone. While the pricing for the phone isn’t confirmed yet, it should launch at around Rs. 40,000 in India. We’ll get to know more as we near the launch of the BlackShark 2, so stay tuned.
