Treyarch has yet to take the wraps off of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and its suite of multiplayer features, but is readying to do so next week. According to a recent post on the game’s Facebook Page, Treyarch made the following annoucement.
“Synchronize your watches and start the countdown! Only 4 days left until the worldwide reveal of Black Ops 2 Multiplayer,” said the Facebook update.
There’s no telling if Treyarch will hold anything back, or if this will be a full-out zombie infested reveal next week. The popular cooperative game mode is said to be making a comeback in Black Ops 2, with some major enhancements to the way it is played.
Whether or not Treyarch will continue to build off of the changes to Call of Duty’s multiplayer that were found in MW3 is also unclear. The three tiered killstreak rewards system seemed to resonate well with Modern Warfare 3 players, but there were some stark contrasts from the changes that Treyarch made in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Back in 2010, Treyarch had introduced wager matches and more customization options for players, that Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward seemed to toss aside for this game.
We already know that there will be at least one new killstreak reward in the Quad-Rotor copter, it’ll definitely be interesting to see what else Treyarch has up their sleeves in this multiplayer reveal for Black Ops 2.
