Now that the PSN is back up and running, with the PlayStation Store returning to operations as well, its time to get back to business as usual. That business includes Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation. The second map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops will hit the PlayStation Network on Friday June 10th. Escalation features four competitive multiplayer maps, and one brand new Zombies mode experience.
“Convoy” features close quarters combat at the scene of an American convoy that has been ambushed. The “Hotel” is set in a plush Cuban hotel and casino in Havana. “Stockpile” set in Russia and continuing with the Cold War theme, the map is centered around a farm housing a secret weapons production facility. The “Zoo” will take you to a Russian zoo that has been abandoned for some time.
The zombies map which was mentioned but not explained is titled “Call of the Dead”, Treyarch promises more details incoming on the map pack in the coming days. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Map Pack will be available on PlayStation 3 beginning on June 10th. Treyarch will host a Double XP weekend to commemorate the launch of the maps.
