Shueisha’s preview of the cover for the 33rd volume of the Black Clover manga reveals that the manga has 18 million copies in circulation worldwide. The 33rd volume is confirmed to ship on Friday.

The story for Black Clover is described as focusing on a young orphan named Asta. While everyone is born with the power to utilize manga in the form of magical powers, Asta has no magic. Instead, he must focus on physical strength. However, this does not stop him from pursuing his dreams of being the next Wizard King.

Yuki Tabata launched Black Clover in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. Viz Media is publishing manga digitally and in print. Shueisha’s Manga Plus service is also publishing the manga digitally. As of May 2021, the manga had more than 15 million copies in circulation.

The manga then went on hiatus for a planned three months in April. This was because Tabata wanted the time to prepare for the “final arc” of the manga. The manga then returned on August 1st.
