The upcoming Dark Crisis #2 reveals who Black Adam chooses to lead the new Justice League. After the original super-team perished in the pages of Justice League #75, Jon Kent formed a new one. With Black Adam the sole-surviving member of the previous League, he is not thrilled with Superman’s son’s choices. Now, he is deciding who leads this new team in previews over at Bleedingcool.
Who is Black Adam Choosing?
With the world in danger and the Justice League gone, Jon Kent springs into action. He recruits Jace Fox, Yana Flor, Jo Mullein, and Jackson Hyde to be the new defenders of Earth. He then suggests to Black Adam, the only Justice League hero to survive the attack that destroyed the original team, that Nightwing leads the group.
However, recent events have turned Black Adam on the thought of Nightwing as a leader. Within Dark Crisis #2, Deathstroke is still on his assault of the Teen Titans. Specifically, Beast Boy’s fate is in question as a gun is held to the shapeshifter’s head. Thankfully, Beast Boy’s shapeshifter anatomy means he can survive the gunshot, but the whole ordeal has forced Black Adam to dismiss Nightwing as the leader. As Jon Kent berates Black Adam for not being there to save the day, the sometimes-villain agrees. He then announces his intent to lead the new Justice League.
