The newest BitLife challenge, the Bridgerton Challenge, has arrived! Based on the TV show of the same name, the challenge asks you to become a famous author and a royal party animal! All the while, you have to spread rumors about your friends! By the end of this guide, you will learn how to start rumors about friends for the Bridgerton Challenge in BitLife.

How to Start Rumors About Friends in BitLife

Before you can start spreading rumors about your friends, you first need to make some friends! Upon starting a new character and aging up, you’ll randomly encounter pop-ups telling you that an NPC wants to become your friend. From here, you may choose to accept or reject the character as a friend. If you’d like to make more friends, you can also befriend classmates and future co-workers. To increase your chances of an NPC befriending you, have conversations and compliments them regularly.

After you make some friends, go to the Relationships menu and select the friend of your choice. Scroll down until you find the “Rumor” button. If your character is young, age them until they turn 12 to find the Rumor button. It will not appear before then. After you spread the rumor, your relationship with the friend will decrease slightly. In extreme cases, the friend may attack you, lowering your health and potentially killing you if your health is already low.

If you’re currently trying to complete a challenge such as the Bridgerton Challenge, you may notice that starting multiple rumors doesn’t finish the task. If this is the case, try the following tips:

  • Only spread one rumor per character. For example, if you must spread at least ten rumors, spread one rumor about ten different friends instead of one friend.
  • Spread every rumor in one in-game year. For example, if you must spread at least ten rumors, spread all ten rumors in the same year.
  • If a future challenge specifies that you must spread rumors about your best friend, sibling or romantic partner, make sure you pick a character with these statuses.

Once you spread rumors about your friends ten or more times, you will have completed a task from the Bridgerton Challenge in BitLife. For more information about a previous BitLife challenge, visit our coverage here.
