Completing challenges in BitLife is an exciting way to gain exclusive cosmetics for your characters. One of the most common parts of challenges is having a character born in a specific country or city or befriending a specific person. While some regions appear in the Country or Places sections on the BitLife character creation page, others will not appear immediately. This guide will teach you how to add custom cities and people to BitLife.
How to Add Custom Cities and People to BitLife
Adding custom cities and people to BitLife has very similar steps. Head to the main menu and scroll down until you find the Configure section. From here, you can either add custom cities or people.
Custom Cities
Under the Configure section, select Custom Cities, and press the “Add custom city” button. Type in the city name you wish to add and the country. While you can use this option to add specific cities for challenges, you can also add random or fictional places. However, adding custom cities is necessary to finish specific challenges like the My Way challenge. Once you add your custom city, it will appear under the “Places” section on the character creation screen.
Depending on the challenge, you may not need to use this option. While a challenge may ask you to create a character born in a specific state, there’s a city for nearly every state available for you to choose. Some examples include being born in Connecticut for the Gilmore Girls Challenge or New Jersey for the Creeper By The Dozen Challenge. In these cases, making custom cities does not work, and instead, you choose your starting “Place” as a city within these states. For a place like Connecticut, you would pick Hartford as your starting city, while for a state like New Jersey, you would choose Newark.
Custom People
Under the Configure section, select Custom People, and press the “Add custom people” button. You can choose the person’s first and last name and gender. Like adding custom cities, you can either use this to help complete specific challenges or add random people for fun. For example, the Lex Luthor Challenge asked you to make Clark Kent your enemy, requiring you to add him as a custom person. There is also an option to import your phone’s contacts if you want your real-world friends and family in your BitLife game. Once you add a custom person, they will randomly appear throughout your characters’ lives. They may show up as a family member, co-worker or even a random person you find in age-up encounters.
BitLife is available on Android and iOS.
