Today, Bioware fans saw major news as the co-founders of the company which certainly expanded the horizons of the gaming world, decided that they would be walking away from the games industry. Doctors Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka have both stepped down from their roles at Bioware, and in the aftermath of this announcement, the company has revealed what’s next for their major franchises.

While it was known but unconfirmed that the company would be releasing another Dragon Age title, Dragon Age III: Inquisition was announced just yesterday. The company has also revealed that they indeed have more Mass Effect in store for fans of that popular franchise.

Bioware has plans to continue to release multiplayer content for Mass Effect 3, as well as further single player stories for the most current iteration of the franchise. Going forward, Bioware indeed has plans to continue the Mass Effect franchise.

“The Mass Effect Universe is vast, and Casey [Hudson] and our teams have plans for another full game,” said Aaron Flynn on the Bioware Blog. Outside of the Mass Effect and Dragon Age universes, Bioware also has new projects in the works that aren’t associated with either franchise.

“We aren’t stopping there. While Casey continues to oversee the development of our new Mass Effect project, he and his leads are putting together their vision for an all new game set in a fictional universe, built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology.
