It’s only been out for a few hours, but Bioshock Infinite has quickly risen to the top of the Metacritic rankings for games in 2013.  Critics have looked at the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game and rated them all in the high nineties.  The PC and Xbox versions of the game currently sit at a 96 on the review aggregator, with the PlayStation 3 version being rated slightly lower at a 95.

It’s getting glowing user reviews as well.  Hundreds of users have logged in to post their scores on the game, and in a category that usually fluctuates widely from the critics, users have rated the games in the mid-nines as well.

Bioshock Infinite’s unique new twist on the classic Bioshock formula has obviously resonated with those that have already played the game.  It’s a game that will definitely leave you thinking about it long after you’ve finished it, and likely to be the topic of conversation for many fans for some time.
