Big Brother season 24 premiere just brought in a whopping 3.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched show of the night. There was also a lot of movement on social media platforms about the show. When this show started, it was a bit of a social experiment. Now it is iconic and still going strong. People wanted to meet the new house guests and trying to figure out which dynamics would be the most ‘entertaining.’ The show is also up 2% in live-streaming on Paramount+ as well.
Big Brother Season 24 Premiere Hype
As of the premiere, Michael Bruner seems to be the new crowd favorite. A delightfully sassy guy with a lot to say. Also, keep in mind the forthcoming “twist” that has been hinted at this season. It is rumored it will change the whole dynamic of the show, but no one knows quite how or when that will happen. That is the joy of this show. You are on a roller coaster blindfolded with no idea when the drops are coming.
Via Yahoo:
“The episode was the most-watched during primetime on Wednesday, though viewership dipped slightly from last summer, when the Season 23 premiere collected an impressive 4.2 million total viewers. It still helped secure a viewership win for CBS, which averaged 2.95 million eyeballs across primetime.”
Though that may be a slight drop from last season, the drop is insignificant. 24 seasons in, and BB is still dominating the airwaves. Kind of crazy that some said it wouldn’t work in the first place. The fact is, it’s an unstoppable pop culture force at this point. Big Brother season 24 premiere just showed the world that this iconic show isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Some people claim reality TV is losing steam, but those numbers show the opposite to be true. The old saying is “Big Brother is watching,” but the truth is, everyone’s watching Big Brother.
