Big Brother 24 already shocked us all by getting rid of its America’s Got Talent house guest. One would think that two good ‘reality’ shows would merge to make a better one, but such wasn’t the case here. Marvin Achi was just booted from Big Brother 24 for “double-dipping.” Thus, he was on one show and tried to get on another while not paying attention to his iron-clad contract.
For those who don’t know, Marvin Achi is a former guest on America’s Got Talent. He was, for lack of a better term, a stripping scientist. He was also just cast on BB 24, but it seems he’s already been kicked off before the show even started.

Via Reality Blurred:
“While the AGT appearance seems like an apparent reason for Marvin’s replacement, as it would have been very unusual to have someone on two network shows at the same time, it has happened before, and on CBS with Big Brother.
Marvin’s audition aired June 7, and for the production or network to have not known about that seems unlikely—especially because, during the application and/or casting process, applicants would have been asked about other media appearances.”
So what they are saying is that you can’t have someone from two different shows on the same show. It is what people in that industry consider a conflict of interest. On top of that, most reality TV shows will have clauses against such things in their contracts.
The Big Brother contract says, in print:
” The Big Brother contract says that CBS gets “the exclusive right to my services as a performer in all media … for one (1) year.”
So there you have it. Marvin Achi was clearly doing his best to “double-dip” in the reality TV pool, which cost him a gig. Remember, folks, reality TV may seem like a bit of a messy environment, but they play very few games. Before you sign a contract, especially in Hollywood, get yourself a lawyer and make sure they go over all of it with you.
Or you get kicked off shows before they even begin, as seen here.
