During its E3 conference, Bethesda finally showed gameplay for one of its most anticipated games for Nintendo Switch: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This open-world RPG markes the first time that the series reaches a Nintendo platform, which is an opportunity that the developers have taken to introduce new exclusive features like the compatibility with amiibo figures, resulting in brand new content like an exclusive character model based on Link from the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Other amiibo from The Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Bros. series will provide additional loot.

This version will also feature exclusive motion controls for combat and lockpicking.

The story of the game takes place 200 years after the previous entry, Oblivion, and sets the main character in a quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a legendary dragon who seems destined to destroy the world. The artwork for this Nintendo Switch version suggests that it will include DLC content previously released on other platforms, like Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Skyrim has won more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, and Bethesda describes this version for Nintento switch  as a game where “you can be anyone and do anything, now can go anywhere – at home on your TV or on the go.” While we await for a release date announcement for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch, watch the first gameplay trailer below.
