Today, during Bethesda’s E3 2018 showcase, Rage 2 got an intriguing new gameplay trailer with plenty more carnage to sort through.

Bethesda brought out musician Andrew W.K. on stage to perform “Ready to Die,” the song used in the Rage 2 trailer. Then, viewers were treated to an extended look at one of the playable missions in the game.

The Eden Space Port mission was showcased during the stream as Walker went out in search of a rare artifact to assist him on his quest for revenge. This time around, the game has a much more visceral vibe to it with brighter visuals and a more Borderlands-esque vibe, and plenty of ways to totally wreck your environment. Large, hefty vehicles, meaty shotguns, and destruction were the order of the day with the new footage—at least it’s not different shades of brown this time around.

Of course, this isn’t the first we’ve heard of Rage 2, not by a long shot. Originally, Rage 2 was leaked as part of an unexpected list of games posted by Walmart Canada, which Bethesda confirmed as true a few days later. First, the game’s trailer leaked ahead of its official debut, and Bethesda pulled it down. Then, the trailer was officially published, and Rage 2 received its real announcement.

Rage 2 will put you in the shoes of the last Ranger named Walker, who’s looking for revenge on a faction called The Authority. After robbing him of everything he loved and held dear, he’s out to make them pay. You’ll travel through the neon-soaked apocalypse as Walker as you gather weapons like shotguns and jump into enormous cannons while causing as much carnage as you can.

Rage 2 is scheduled for release in spring 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
