If you’ve just finished with Eternal and The Ancient Gods DLC and want more Doom Slayer goodness, you’re in luck. In Mighty DOOM, Doom Slayer — along with the minions of Hell — is coming in a bite-sized flavor to your Android devices. The game is being developed by Alpha Dog Games (Wraithborne, MonstroCity: Rampage) and right now is still in early access in New Zealand. However, according to PocketGamer, the beta test slot is “currently full” but space may open up later.

Based on the gameplay trailer below and its Google Store description, Mighty DOOM is described as a “single-touch shooter.” Simply using touch controls you can easily keep melee demons at bay, dodge attacks, and eventually go in for the Glory Kill. Swapping weapons on the fly can be done with a just single tap, as you take on the challenges of Hell and inflict brutally cute carnage.

While Mighty DOOM is not an endless runner in the traditional sense, in this game your task is still to “run and gun” through hundreds of corridors and blasting demons who dare to stand in your way. Classic DOOM bosses from the Baron of Hell, Hell Priest, to the Cyberdemon will try to stop your rampage completely with their own unique attacks and strategies, so be careful when they show up. But if you should fall against the demon horde though, don’t worry. Rise again, level up your Mini Slayer, gain powerful skills, fuse equipment to power up legendary, iconic weapons from the series like the Plasma Rifle and Rocket Launcher, and challenge the hellspawn once more.

This is not the first time the series went to the mobile platform. Both the first game and DOOM II have Android and iOS ports. Back in 2009, id Software also made DOOM II RPG for Java phones, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and iOS.
