Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated games of this year is Starfield. Dubbed Skyrim in space by Todd Howard himself, this game is the most ambitious one from the legendary RPG developers. While we’ve only seen a bit of the gameplay so far, the previous presentation left us with a hunger for more. We already know the game will have its own presentation sometime this year. It won’t be the one that is planned for the 25th of January. Instead, Bethesda is planning an announcement for the release date of Starfield in its own event.
Bethesda says a release date announcement for Starfield could be coming soon
A user on Twitter asked for the release date of the game, to which Bethesda replied, “very soon.” This means that we might actually get the showcase a lot sooner than anticipated. We know that Xbox is doing a presentation on January 25. This show will feature games like Elder Scrolls Online and Redfall. Sadly, Starfield won’t make it. The company has said that they’d prefer to have an event for Starfield alone, and maybe that’s when Bethesda will make the release date announcement.

There’s no date for the event yet, and we’ve only heard rumors that they are planning a big showcase for it. And yes, it makes sense. There’s a lot of hype behind the game, and many gamers expect many things from it. So, Microsoft and Bethesda better bring something huge for the showcase, which also means a release date announcement. So, right now, we can only wait and hope we get more news soon. Some people were nervous about seeing the Steam release date change, so we don’t know what is happening behind the curtains. Yet, we are eager to learn more about the game that is bound to be one of the biggest RPGs of 2023.
