Bethenny Frankel is suing TikTok over fake ads that use her image and likeness. While none of us are nearly popular enough to have our images stolen, we imagine it must be really frustrating. Also, anyone familiar with Frankel pretty much know that she never backs down from a fight, so they picked the wrong person in this case. The issue is that she is having her image used for fake ads on TikTok, seemingly shilling bad products. Frankel found out in September after a fan had hit her up and showed her. Obviously, she was very quick to act.

Furthermore, this is nothing new for the platform. The problems is the fake ads can stay up for days before someone reacts, and there the damage is done. But Bethenny is not taking this lying down. She has been quick to act, and is doing her best to squash this with some legal help.

Bethenny Frankel Suing TikTok

Via Screenrant:

”Bethenny has made the decision to sue TikTok for allegedly allowing account holders to use her “image and likeness” to help promote fake products. According to the documents obtained by the news outlet, Bethenny cited an incident in September that, thankfully, some of her followers clued her in on. This particular issue showed what looked to be the mother of someone pushing a counterfeit designer-label cardigan. The legal documents also showed that the scammer in question allegedly took an old video of Bethenny when she was actually talking about the specific designer and edited the footage to make it appear that the former Real Housewives star was talking about the sham product. Bethenny claimed the scammers did all this without her consent.”

Bethenny Frankel is suing over TikTok fake ads using her image to shill bad products. It’s pretty shocking once you learn the details. Thing is, they kicked the wrong hornet’s nest here. Of all the celeb images to use they used one that just will not tolerate that. And if we know anything about her legal team (which we do), the people who stole her image don’t stand a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning.
