Instead of offering players different classes to play as New World allows players to customize their experiences via the weapons they choose in the game. Players can equip two different weapons at a time, offering many different combinations depending on a player’s preferences. Which weapons are the best, though? While the answer varies for each situation, here is a fairly global tier list.
The Hatchet and Life Staff are by far the best two weapons in the game. The Hatchet is insane for DPS builds while the Life Staff is the only weapon in the game that provides healing. The Musket, on the other hand, falls at the bottom of the list with its damage caps and slow firing times. Players looking for a solid range weapon should instead look to the Fire Staff or the Bow for better flexibility and performance.
Of course, New World players can enjoy the game and everything it has to offer no matter which weapons they choose. It all comes down to personal play style and how players choose to enjoy the game.
