Small Forward is a position that enables you to build a versatile player that, depending on your play style, can be a complete all-around threat on offense or a more defensive-oriented SF that lives off feeding playmakers. If you’re looking for options on which direction to take your MyPlayer, here are 3 of the best Small Forward builds in NBA 2K22.

2-Way Finisher

This build will see your player become a powerhouse in the middle of any offense or defense. A well-balanced option at SF, the 2-Way Finisher is a tremendous asset to any team and will see a lot of blocks when defending the rim with their Rim Protector base-ability. Conversely, they will find a lot of success in the offensive zone while using their Slashing ability and driving the rim for the finish or the trip to the foul line.

Don’t expect to be sinking a ton of jump shots, though. Keep your scoring opportunities in the paint or from short range.

3-Level Scorer

This build is for the player that is totally point-oriented. Equipped with the Sharpshooting and Slashing base abilities, the 3-Level Scorer will thrive on jump shots from mid-to-three-point range while utilizing their speed and strength to create opportunities on the inside. Upgrade your skills to highlight these strengths and you will be a dangerous offensive weapon for any team.

Weaknesses: You won’t change the game on defense, nor will you have elite passing abilities. Stay in position on D and work toward getting open on offense.

Offensive Threat

As the title of the build suggests, this is an opportunity for the player to create an offensive juggernaut. An OT build is capable of putting the team on their back at any time throughout the game with an arsenal of offensive capabilities. Especially after putting some time into reinforcing the base Sharpshooting and Playmaking abilities, this build will threaten with jump-shots from anywhere in the offensive zone. If opposing teams begin keying on your jumper, your skills as a passer can paralyze any defense with deadly accurate dishes to teammates coming open as the D overcommits to you.

Despite the overwhelming positives of this build, the negatives come in the defensive end. While the highest-level OT builds can become dominant on D, your base skills won’t provide you with any help to generate steals or blocks. Focus on your strengths.
