NBA 2K22 features some new and improved Shooting Badges that can make players into shooting machines on many different areas of the floor. The Shooting Badges players will want may differ depending on where shots are coming from. A three-point shooter aspiring to be the next Steph Curry may take some of the deep Shooting Badges, while a player like KD or Khris Middleton will benefit from the mid-range and spot-up Shooting Badges. The best Shooting Badges heavily depend on the playstyle, but here are the best overall Shooting Badges to equip in NBA 2K22.
Deadeye
Deadeye boosts a player’s shooting ability when closely guarded or while being closed out on. This badge is extremely useful for getting off shots on tight defense and at later tiers can even allow players to shoot through defensive contests. If you are a player struggling to sink jumpers on pesky defenders, a few Deadeye badge tiers will significantly boost your success on contested shots.
Difficult Shots
There are a few badges that boost a player’s ability to make moving shots like step-backs, spin jumpers, and pull-ups, but Difficult Shots covers all of it. While other badges may give a bigger boost to specific shots, Difficult Shots gives a slight boost to all moving shots within the three-point line. If players really want to pull off difficult shots only for threes, grab the Chef or Circus Threes for moving three-point shot boosts.
Catch and Shoot
The Catch and Shoot badge has been lethal for pure shooters in every 2K title. This year the Catch and Shoot badge requires a minimum of 66 three-point shot rating to equip. This badge is a great go-to for Pro-Am if your team needs a great shooter waiting to be set up for great shots.
Blinders
Blinders is a new badge in NBA 2K22 that improves a player’s ability to shoot shots contested from the side. This badge is great for players who like to shoot off picks or pull-up with a step on the defender. Blinders affects both mid-range and three-point shots so it is a very useful badge. Paired with Deadeye, close-outs won’t matter as much on jumpers.
Green Machine
Green Machine boosts excellent timing releases on consecutively green shots. This badge is definitely not for everybody, but with enough practice, it can devastate opponents and make a player nearly unstoppable. Green Machine requires players to have amazing timing on their shots, but if you are a player that struggles getting green shots, here are a few alternatives to improve your shooting.
- Corner Specialist — Gives boost to jump shots taken near the corner.Rythym Shooter — Gives boost on shooting ability shortly after sizing up with dribble moves.Hotzone Hunter — Gives boost on shooting ability in player’s hot zones.
