Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is crammed full of attainable Officers. You can enlist any of them to help develop your kingdom and defend the regions you acquire over your lengthy conquest through Ancient China.

Thanks to Empires not being canon to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms tale, it means every Officer is up for grabs, providing you’re willing to put in the work to sway them to your council, of course.

How to recruit Officers

As you campaign across China as a Ruler, you will have several opportunities to recruit new Officers to your kingdom.

  • The simplest way, of course, is by actively searching for them. You can do this by going to the Military Affairs tab in the main Political Commands menu. By reaching out to neighboring regions, you can recruit Officers. However, your kingdom must appeal to the chosen Officer before they make the decision to uproot and move. If your reputation is too low, or they’re in a better position where they are, then they will reject your proposal. After Invading a section of land and winning a battle, Officers will either escape or succumb to defeat. When the latter happens, you will be able to recruit certain Officers or dispose of them. Again, the Officer may or may not join your cause, depending on several factors. As you progress through China and obtain more land for your Kingdom, Officers will eventually come to you. Between battles, Officers will offer their services to you. It is, of course, entirely your call on what you do with them.
