Landorus’ best moves in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are Extrasensory, Crunch, Earth Power, and Sandsear Storm. We picked these moves based on Landorus’ base stats and the S.T.A.B (same type attack bonus). This bonus yields a 50 percent increase in damage output if the chosen move shares the Pokémon’s typing.

Landorus’ Most Powerful Moves

Since Landorus is a ground and flying-type Pokémon, we’ll take a closer look at its best moves in question. Extrasensory is a special psychic-type move learned at level 31 (mastered at 43) with an attack power of 80. Crunch is a physical dark-type move learned at level 41 (mastered at 54) with an attack power of 80—strong for a move that doesn’t share the Pokémon’s type. Earth Power, however, is a special ground-type move with an attack power of 135 that takes full advantage of STAB.

Sandsear Storm is a ground-type move and Landorus’ best offensive option, learned last at level 52 (mastered at 65), with a staggering power of 142.5. Like Earth Power, Sandsear Storm makes great use of the STAB even as a special move. And even if Landorus’ strength is its raw attack power, with this base stat as its highest, this Pokémon’s special attack stat might as well be just as good. The rest, especially HP, come in either average or a bit below.

Landorus’ Best Stats

  • Stat Total: 600HP: 89Attack: 125Defense: 90Special Attack: 115Special Defense: 80Speed: 101

This means physical attacks rather than special attacks should usually be Landorus’ forte in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but not by much. Both stats are incredibly high, and many other powerful moves such as the rock type Stone Edge or even Giga Impact can be learned for a price from Zisu at the Training Grounds in Jubilife Village. Still, they either require an entire turn to recharge and would nullify any help Landorus can provide with its good speed base stat, or they have annoying low PP.

  • HP: 89Attack: 125Defense: 90Special Attack: 115Special Defense: 80Speed: 101

Other purchased moves such as the dragon-type Outrage or Hyper Beam, while powerful moves, can be considered alternate options to Crunch or Extrasensory, but they either also have low PP or end up causing Confusion. You may find a great use for Landorus in providing excellent coverage to get you through Hisui quickly and efficiently, over a longer amount of time, and with PP to spare.

Landorus is a part of the legendary Generation V trio, including Tornadus and Thundurus, and can be found in sunny weather on Ramanas Island during the post-game. Landorus’ power is high, especially as a legendary Pokémon, and would be a great choice to strengthen your party while building out your Pokédex. Be sure to also take advantage of its best nature, which adds a further 10 percent attack increase.
