In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can encounter, battle, and catch the powerful Lake legendary Pokémon, Azelf. Azelf is a Psychic-type Pokémon with fantastic stats overall. Azelf has great attack stats specifically and can do great damage in battle.
Azelf is a purely Psychic-type Pokémon, so most of its powerful attacks are also Psychic-type. This is because of S.T.A.B. (Same Type Attack Bonus), which gives Pokémon a boost to moves that are of the same typing as them. Azelf’s best moves are Self Destruct, Extrasensory, Tri Attack, and Mystical Power.
Azelf will learn Self Destruct at level 57 (masters at level 71), Extrasensory at level 27 (masters at level 39), Tri Attack at level 32 (masters at level 44), and Mystical Power at level 46 (masters at level 59).
How to use Azelf best in battle
Azelf is a solely Psychic-type Pokémon. It is always a good idea to know which moves are resistant and which are super effective against the user’s Pokémon when going into battle. Psychic-type Pokémon are vulnerable to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type moves. Psychic-type attacks are super effective against Fighting and Poison-type Pokémon.
