Glass has always been a touchy subject for Minecraft. Over the years, Mojang has attempted to improve the aesthetics of their glass blocks, but it seems someone always has to disagree with how it looks. We’ve put together some of the best Glass texture packs for you to choose from based on your style!
Many of the more advanced Minecraft texture packs require Optifine to be installed for them to work. We strongly recommend installing it to improve gameplay performance and visual effects if you want to use the resource packs listed below.

Best Minecraft Glass Texture Packs

Clear Glass
Clear Glass is a high resolution (128x) texture pack that makes your glass completely clear. The blocks and panes don’t have a border unless they’re touching the edge which makes them look more like a square prism than a glass window or block. As you can see in the image above, this gives your Minecraft world a different tint if you look through any color. This texture pack is great for people who are usually always in their Minecraft base.

Better Connected
Better Connected is a texture pack true to its name. It keeps the basic look and feel of Minecraft glass, but improves the look of the frames that are connected. It keeps the frames to the outside of the entire window, but still makes it possible to see that there is a window in front of you.

Uniform Glass
Uniform Glass is an experimental texture pack similar to Clear Glass. It is easier on your computer’s graphics card than Clear Glass by only being 16x, but adds some fogginess and has no outer borders. The fogginess is considered a feature by its creator, as it works well with different lighting effects in the game, and can make water look misty if viewed from above. This texture pack is ideal for minimalist builders.

Framed Panes
Framed Panels adds spice to your windows in Minecraft. Instead of completely taking away the borders like most glass texture packs, this one improves on them to make your windows look better than ever with their own particular style for each color. This texture pack is perfect for players who like to create themes for their Minecraft bases, or for players who just like accents to their building blocks.

Windowed Doors
Windowed Doors is a simple texture pack that should work in tandem with all the other texture packs on this list. It doesn’t change the glass blocks or glass frames, but changes the open space on the doors themselves. In this texture pack, you can see through all different varieties of doors, instead of having blocked vision in some of them. If you like to see who is pounding on your door, this texture pack is perfect for you!

Additional Info
The images above mostly feature these texture packs with shaders that improve the visuals of Minecraft. These improvements include things like proper lighting, water effects, and particle effects. While installing the texture packs will improve the look of your game, you also need to install OptiFine and a decent shader to get the full effect.
