The more you play Choo-Choo Charles, the more you realize just how important having Scraps is. They’re not only used to upgrade your train and replenish its health, but you also lose Scraps every time you die. Randomly throughout the game, Charles will come after you, meaning that you need to be prepared for when he inevitably damages your train. So, it’s handy to have a supply of Scraps readily on hand.

While you can earn Scraps by doing missions or finding them randomly on the ground, there are certain areas that have yellow crates with even more Scraps inside. We’ve outlined exactly where these boxes are on the maps below:

Where to get Scraps in Choo-Choo Charles

It’s important to note that the ones that aren’t directly next to the train tracks require the lockpick to open. After that, the other ones on the side of the tracks can respawn more Scraps after a bit of time, so they’re worth going back to if you find yourself in need. We recommend using them to upgrade your train as quickly as possible from the start to make your random battles with Charles easier. Unfortunately, you can’t use Scraps to upgrade your weapons or the rate at which they burn out.
