Heartrunes are ultimate abilities that you can equip your character in New World. They provide your character with an intense upgrade to their power level. There are a total of five different Heartunes that you can obtain, each with three separate perk abilities. The different perks include Cunning, Stalwart, and Brutal from each. We’ve listed the best Heartrune abilities and the respective Heartrunes that they belong to.
Best Stone Form Heartrune Ability
The best ability for the Stone Form Heartrune would be the Brutal Stone Form. This ability allows for an increase in damage absorption by 10%. It can also be activated to explode and cause 200% true damage within a small radius.
Best Grasping Vines Heartrune Ability
For this Heartrune, Brutal Grasping Vines would have to be the best. Not only does it inflict Weaken against your enemies, but it also deals with Rend. This reduces their damage absorption by 20% for five seconds while also reducing stamina regeneration by 50% for five seconds.
Best Cannon Blast Heartrune Ability
For the Cannon Blast Heartune, Cunning Cannon Blast would be the most useful. When it hits your enemies, it inflicts burn and 10% rune damage per second for five seconds. The projectile can also pass through multiple enemies, so keep that in mind.
Best Dark Ascent Heartrune Ability
For the Dark Ascent Heartrune, you will want to take advantage of the Stalwart Dark Ascent perk. It heals for 100% and grants Fortify if you happen to hit any enemies with the fall.
Best Detonate Heartrune Ability
Lastly, the best Detonate Heartrune ability is the Cunning Detonate Rune. This allows for an extra 30% movement speed while charging. It also has a secondary perk that increases damage by 15% while you are charging. The difference is that the explosion damage is reduced when you do this.
