When it comes to dealing out the most damage in New World one would think to choose the best weapons off our Best Weapons in New World guide. That would not be the best bet, as the weapons on that list are ranked the way they are based on multiple factors. When players are looking for raw DPS the best way to go is the Musket (Sharpshooter) and Fire Staff (Pyromancer).
Keep in mind that these two weapons and their masteries are chosen for nothing other than pure damage, and this build will keep players vulnerable on several levels, requiring a good party to tank and heal. This build is by no means a solid one for solo play.
The Musket in this build is excellent for taking out single enemies, while the Fire Staff provides the best AoE damage in the game. As noted above, players should focus on the Sharpshooter and Pyromancer masteries, while putting all the points they can into Dexterity and Intelligence. This will ensure the maximum amount of damage is being done with both weapons, turning a player into a massive glass cannon.
