The Imperial China scenario tells the story of a Shifu (a title of “Master” given to people in China) in search of disciples to carry on his dying Kung Fu arts. He eventually meets three promising children: Hong Hakka, Yun Jou, and Lei Kugo during his search. Which of these three disciples should you put your resources (and training points!) into?
Disciple Training Guide in Live a Live
The best disciple is arguably Lei Kugo. Lei Kugo has an extremely high speed stat and a moderately high physical attack stat, allowing her to hit the enemy and run away before the enemy action bar fills up. She’s a lot of fun to play with, as aside from Kung Fu, she has skills that attack enemies from far away tiles. Invest all those training sessions into her. She will especially benefit from stamina training, since her physical defense is not very strong.
Hong Hakka is her complete opposite and is not a bad choice if you prefer his charming personality. Hong Hakka is built to tank. So, while he shouldn’t be moved around often, he’ll survive anything. He has a moderately high physical attack stat like Lei Kugo. He will also benefit from all the training sessions.
Yun Jou is an all-rounder. He’s moderately fast and moderately powerful. He is also the only disciple with a high base special attack stat that’s close to the Shifu. When he learns elemental attacks later on, he’ll be away to deal moderate damage, no matter who the enemy is. As the only jack-of-all-trades, Yun Jou will also benefit from all the training the Shifu will offer.
At the end of the day, however, the “best” disciple to favor is still up to you and your playstyle. Live a Live gives you an opportunity to battle and use them many times, so take advantage of those and find your favorite. Trust us—favoritism is the best way to optimize your Imperial China run.
