Kyle Dickard’s days on Below Deck Adventure may be numbered as Captain Kerry Titheradge debates whether or not to fire him. The captain’s conflicting feelings stem from the deckhand’s lackadaisical attitude since joining the crew. His latest strike came after the Texas native threatened fellow crew member Nathan Morley with violence.

A peek into the show’s Tuesday, November 15 episode showed Kerry revealing to Lewis Lupton that Nathan found Kyle’s threats of violence upsetting. He pointed out that with such escapades, the Texas native has become a threat to other crew members’ safety. The bosun admitted he was upset by the news. According to him, he considered Kyle the most experienced deckhand and hoped to see him become the lead someday. However, with his unprofessional behavior so far, he just might lose that chance altogether.

Below Deck, Captain Kerry Plans To Fire Kyle Dickard

Despite having a soft spot for his deckhand, Lewis agreed with Captain Kerry that Kyle Dickard had crossed the line more times than one. With previous conversations with him yielding no positive change, the captain considered the possibility of letting him go. But before then, he planned to give the 24-year-old a chance to vindicate himself. Kerry divulged:

In a confessional, Lewis tried to pitch in favor of his deckhand. He noted that while Kyle was not the picture-perfect crewmember, he had the experience. He added:

Despite the bosun’s optimism, most fans of Below Deck Adventures would be on board with the decision of Captain Kerry to fire Kyle Dickard. While the reality star has given viewers some of the most dramatic moments on the show, some of his antics come off as unprofessional and even disrespectful. These disparaging remarks and actions have made the entire Mercury crew and most viewers blacklist him as a safety threat.
