Bonus Content Rounds

With the Gasmoxia Grand Prix coming to an end, the Beenox team has unleashed a wave of additional content to keep their fans busy with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

In their blog post from March 25th, the Beenox team announces their sincere gratitude for the players, by “giving every player some great bonus content” with a big update that went live just the next day.

All players have to do is make sure their console is connected to the internet and then download the update. The update comes with a plethora of extra content that is certain to keep the fans busy for a while.

The Thank You Update

Characters Crunch and Geary (along with a requested Legendary skin that will be dropping) can now be unlocked if players haven’t obtained them yet. The Lab Assistant, Baby Cortex, and Baby N. Tropy will be making their debuts in the Pit Stop. The Neon Hawk airplane and the Nitro GT will be new additions to the kart roster.

Automatic unlocks after the downloaded update will include a kart, paint job, sticker, and wheels with Beenox slapping their name onto them, as well as Beenox-themed skins for Crash, Cortex, and Crunch.

Instead of the Grand Prix challenges, the Wumpa Challenge system will have rotating challenges on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; Wumpa coins are evitability rewarded as well to spend at the Pit Stop. For Nina’s Nightmare track, the Ghost Hunt challenge will make a return to complete Wumpa challenges, while Golden Wumpa Hunt will remain unscathed.

Beenox will also include ghost times to the Time Trial mode by having their own personal development team’s race times to see if players can beat their records. If one were to succeed, they would be rewarded with a set of unique Legendary Wheels to show off.

Additionally, Time Trials for Oxide and Velo will give players the chance to unlock the Champion Kart if they didn’t get it back when the Grand Prix was going on; Signature Decals can also be unlocked for the Champion Kart by completing Oxide’s and Velo’s Time Trials.

Changes to the Pit Stop have been implemented, too. Items from previous Grand Prix seasons will reappear and cycle throughout, so players are encouraged to check back to see if they missed something desirable. A new and improved “Fixed” Rilla Roo will also pop in the Pit Stop if he hasn’t been unlocked yet. New Legendary skins, color variations, and customization items are to be added as well.

Finally, to keep players occupied in the menu, the developers have installed an audio feature where players can listen to the soundtrack for each track before going on a race. This will get them prepared as players will hunt down Beenox crates to unlock the Iron Checkpoint Crate to play as.

“We hope players will love the new content that’s showing up this week. The race continues on: Happy Racing, Bandicoots!” – Beenox Team

The update is available now for anyone who owns a copy of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
