Developer Image Power is giving the simulator genre a horror twist with the upcoming Creature Lab. Arriving soon to PC, Creature Lab allows players to act as their own Dr. Frankenstein by permitting horrendous experiments on people. Indeed, instead of working on cars, cleaning up dirty factories, or building cities, we’ll conduct strange science in the name of morbid curiosity. Players can expect Creature Lab to debut on Steam on January 19, 2023.

In Creature Lab, You Are the Evil Scientist

Imagine you’re in a universe where Mary Shelley’s horror ideas became a reality. As a wicked scientist, you’ll perform many experiments and tests on subjects while evading trouble from the outside. Our job is to locate the perfect mutagen, and the only way to properly try out the trials is to send the projects into the world. Cause chaos, collect data, and avoid authority as you continuously bring in more test subjects to try your theories on.

Image Power put together some footage for the Creature Lab Release Trailer with gameplay snippets and scientific teases. In the trailer, we’re treated to various mechanics and subjects in the first-person perspective as we move from one area to the next while performing different tasks. Attach and remove body parts to your desire as you lay out the impending experiment. Then, with your collected results, improve upon what has transpired to be one step closer to finding the ultimate mutagen.

The player must remember that their experiments will undergo constant shifts and adjustments. With your subjects running amok in the city, you’ll use your data to eventually generate superior creatures. Participating in illegal contracts via the Dark Web will also play a part in the gameplay of Creature Lab, which will help with the trouble when it comes to the authorities.

Creature Lab is coming to us on January 19, 2023, for the PC via the Steam store. Players can wishlist the title to stay up to date with the game’s release. Be sure to stick around for more news and info on this and other titles as 2022 approaches its conclusion.
