Becky Lynch is the latest Wrestling star to make the jump to the world of acting – and already, a Marvel movie could be in her midst.

That’s right, the 33-year-old WWE Raw Women’s Champion could well be joining the likes of Spider-Man, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy and the rest if reports are to be believed.

In a recent Twitter post, Kris Tapley, former Variety reporter and host of Netflix’s The Call Sheet podcast, enthused about the star’s new role in an episode of Billions, right before sharing a juicy tidbit. “(Psst: She’s also in a certain upcoming Marvel movie…)“, he claimed.

As to which ‘upcoming Marvel movie’ that may be, it is currently unknown. The list of upcoming Marvel films includes Black Widow (November 2020), The Eternals (February 2021), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (May 2021), Spider-Man 3 (November 2021), Thor: Love and Thunder (February 2020) and Doctor Strange in the Multitude of Madness (March 2022).

Black Widow would seem like the most appropriate movie given Lynch’s experience in taking part in staged physical fight scenes, but at this point, it’s up in the air as to when she’ll be making her Marvel debut.

Lynch has previously talked to TMZ Sport about how her former co-wrestlers John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson helped her break into her acting career.

“[The Rock has] actually he’s been very helpful in guiding me,” Lynch said.

“Cena’s also been so great to me and so generous with his time, and his advice checks up on me on what I’m doing now. I think everybody wants to see the next generation move to where they’ve been, you know?”
