Beat Kicks is officially throwing their hat into the gaming industry ring. For those unaware, the company was launched to protect headphones with covers, to protect them from sweat and makeup. Although their goal was to prevent expensive headphones from getting damaged, they didn’t stop there. As you can see from the pictures, their designs are unique and eye appealing. Their products are not just for function but also for show.
Beat Kicks, Not Just For Function
It likely comes as no surprise to most that they would transition to the gaming industry. Quality gaming headphones aren’t cheap. Replacing the pad on the headphones themselves at times is either a pain or not even possible. Founder Josh Lewis is confident that the transition to the gaming community will work. Lewis said in a press release, “I always wanted to bring headphone covers to the gaming community, but we had to prove the concept first. Being first to market with a product is a daunting challenge, but because of the functionality of the product, and the fact they are washable, it made sense to anyone we introduced it to. Now that we have proven the concept, we are confident in expanding into a different industry.”
It seems Lewis has done his research. Beat Kicks will be taking a unique approach to the gaming industry. “When we entered the fitness industry, our covers were an easy solution to the problem of headphones getting damaged from moisture and makeup. There was a functional aspect to them. With gaming, we have to sell the community on aesthetics and comfortability. With streaming becoming such a big part of gaming, gamers now can showcase their headsets with different designs and colors every time they are streaming.”
All the Customization, All The Appeal
The customization option will be available in Q1 2020. To make an original pair of Kicks, Lewis believes this game-changer (no pun intended), will end up making 20% of their sales. In addition, he knows the customization is what will reel gamers in. “Customization will be extremely important for the gaming community, due to the fact that they would be wearing them mainly for the aesthetic and fashionable appeal.”
