Bear and Breakfast is a management game where you run a bed and breakfast. Playing as the lovable bear Hank, you travel around the forest and collect items to build up your business. Since its release on July 28, many have enjoyed playing it on PC. However, while the game was initially planned to also release on the Switch, it was delayed due to issues with controller settings, requiring Gummy Cat to take a step back and only release it on Steam. Is Bear and Breakfast Coming to Switch?
The short but fortunate news is that, yes, Bear and Breakfast is planned to release on Nintendo Switch! The Switch version of Bear and Breakfast was originally scheduled to launch alongside the PC edition. Unfortunately, the Bear and Breakfast team delayed the release for an indefinite time. A statement from Gummy Cat explained that both controller support and the Switch version needed some more polishing and would be delayed until further notice. However, they did reassure us that both PC Controller support and the Switch release would come eventually and that, for now, we would still get the regular PC version.
A more recent update by the Bear and Breakfast team informed the community that the Nintendo Switch version of Bear and Breakfast is well on its way to fruition. While the post doesn’t give an exact release date, it does reveal to the community that the team has made considerable progress in mending previous issues that delayed the Switch launch. The official Nintendo store page for the game also confirms that it will release sometime this year. With the quick update provided by Gummy Cat, it’s predicted that the release date of the Switch version of Bear and Breakfast is within the next couple of months.
