The game is ‘coming a little bit sooner than people anticipated’

Original Story: While Platinum Games made waves during this week’s Nintendo Direct, announcing a brand new game that looks pretty amazing, fans still wondered when Bayonetta 3 might arrive. The release date has yet to be officially revealed, but according to a new interview with Nintendo’s Bill Trinen, it’s “sooner that people anticipated”. What does that mean? Well he went on to say that it would arrive “later this year” marking another big Switch exclusive for 2019.

In the interview (24:50 in the video), which took place on the official Nintendo Power Podcast, Trinen explained “Of course, Bayonetta 3 is still in the works. It really helps to round out the library overall of what’s available on Switch, and of course, that’s another game that’s maybe coming a little bit sooner than people anticipated, later this year.”

The “later this year” is certainly new information as Nintendo and Platinum played a little coy with the release date and other information during the Direct. Instead of announcing more on Bayonetta 3, they revealed Astral Chain. We still don’t have much info on Bayonetta 3, but this news that it will arrive later this year should give fans a lot of hope. Surely we’ll get more on the game at E3 if this holds true.
