The Batwoman TV Series trailer has landed – and it would be an understatement to say it hasn’t fared well with the fanbase.

The YouTube ‘First Look’ trailer has, at the time of writing, garnered a stunning 219k dislikes towering over a mere 51k dislikes.

As is usually the case, reaction and response videos have also popped up on YouTube, labelling Batwoman as cringeworthy and ‘SJW garbage’. Basically, just another day on the internet!

But there has been some positive feedback for the Batwoman trailer. Beyond the Trailer‘s Grace Randolph gave a positive review, praising the ‘Gotham’ feel of the series and how it feels “very Batman“. Meanwhile, she hopes it will focus as much on the character’s skill-set as her personal relationships.

One of the show’s writers, Natalie Abrams, has also expressed her enthusiasm for Batwoman on Twitter, remarking that as a “Jewish lesbian, [she’s] beyond proud to see a character like [herself] on TV — and even more lucky to be writing for her.”

I really can’t stop watching the #Batwoman trailer. As a Jewish lesbian, I’m beyond proud to see a character like myself on TV — and even more lucky to be writing for her. https://t.co/ClRLk05R2D
