Ruby Rose’s shocking exit from the Arrowverse left many scratching their heads. Fans wondered why Rose decided to call it quits on The CW series after just one season. Thanks to new reports, we may know a little more.

According to TVLine, Rose’s unexpected departure was more of a mutual decision from Rose and the powers that be behind the scenes. One source told TVLine:

Along with this, it was said that Rose didn’t adjust to Vancouver very well. For those who don’t know, Vancouver is where most of the Arrowverse shows are filmed.

Variety would go on to corroborate the TVLine report, citing the vigorous work hours as one of the biggest issues on-set. Furthermore, a source said this decision had nothing to do with the serious injury Rose sustained during filming Season 1, or her general health.

What’s Next For Batwoman?

While Ruby Rose is out as Batwoman, The CW plans to move forward with the show’s second season and the search has begun on finding a new LGBTQ actress to take up the role. No names have officially surfaced but Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz has already expressed interest in the role on Twitter.

Regardless of who plays Kate Kane next, it will be a monumental role. The show is set for a big season 2 and the character’s position in the overall Arrowverse is only going to get more prominent. Currently, the plan is for Batwoman to crossover with the upcoming Superman & Lois series next year. Details are still being kept under wraps. However, we do know that the crossover will be set in Smallville.
