The trailer for Battlefield V Firestorm came out yesterday, showing off the highly-anticipated Battle Royale mode. This mode has been a topic of interest ever since EA said that they would be diving into the genre after the success of games like PUBG and Fortnite. Nonetheless, it has been interesting to think what a Battlefield BR mode would look like. DICE decided to show this mode off in a well made cinematic trailer. The trailer depicted a couple of things that could be different from the way that some of the other Battle Royale games work.

The trailer starts off a 4-player squad parachuting into the map. Followed by a tractor attached with a minigun ripping across the map. The addition of vehicles is a great decision, as vehicular combat is one of the most enjoyed aspects of the Battlefield franchise. They also showed off tanks going through the map, which is a big staple of the series along with seeing the destructible buildings. Then we have the fire circle. The fire circle seems to incinerate everything outside of the match and may also continue to damage the player for a bit after they get back in the fight. Firestorm looks like there could be some new ways to play a battle royale game, whether that be a little more strategic style of play, or just insanely chaotic with tons of explosions (but again that’s Battlefield).
