The Battlefield: Hardline Beta has been opened up to include all PC players. The beta began as an invite only event during E3, but now gamers with a PC simply have to visit the Battlefield: Hardline Beta sign up page and select that platform to receive instant access.

If you think you might purchase Battlefield: Hardline at some point you’ll want to be sure to sign up, even if you don’t plan to participate in the Beta. Just for signing up you will receive in-game bonuses such as weapon skins, a special gun sight, and a unique dog tag. These will become available to you when the game is released or shortly thereafter.

Additionally, if you complete certain Beta-only challenges you will receive even more goodies. By reaching Rank 10 in the Battlefield: Hardline Beta you will get a special Battlepack when the game launches. And if you enable Facebook Sharing at any point during the Beta you will get $1000 of in-game cash.

Playstation 4 players can also participate in the Beta, but it has not been opened up like on PC. Owners of Battlefield 4 for PS4 can download the Beta automatically, but others will need to apply on the Battlefield: Hardline Beta sign-up page. The in-game rewards and challenges also apply to this version of the game.

Battlefield: Hardline is developed by Visceral Games instead of the usual Battlefield developer DICE. It represents a diversion from the series norm by focusing on cops and robbers instead of the usual miliatry-centric gameplay. Battlefield: Hardline will be released on October 21st, 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
