DICE is looking to incorporate a new feature into Battlefield 3 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC players of the shooter. The new “Matches” feature allows players to coordinate multiplayer sessions with friends and squad members through Battlelog.

Players will be able to coordinate matches through a dedicated server, where the host can set the Match name, start time, game mode, team size, and map rotation. The matches feature will allow teams to select from friends and platoon members to fill their rosters, and gives a much clearer picture of the stats for a specific match on the Battlelog.

DICE hasn’t provided a date on when to expect “Matches”, but stay tuned.
