It has been confirmed by Electronic Arts that the upcoming Battlefield 2042 will be getting a 10-hour trial for those who have memberships to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass, a great opportunity for those unsure about picking up the game on release.

EA Play members (including Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers) will be able to begin the free Battlefield 2042 trial on November 12. This is great news, definitely for those who perhaps have been made hesitant about Battlefield 2042 due to the mixed response and bugs that surfaced from the beta experiences a few weeks ago.

This is the latest addition of Battlefield 2042 in recent days, with DICE releasing a gameplay video for the game which showcased three of the maps included in the shooter. These maps include Renewal, which is set in Egypt’s Eastern Desert, Breakaway, which takes place in Antarctica’s Queen Maud Land, and Discarded, which is set in Alang, India.

The other most recent news is a gameplay reveal and detailing of the Portal mode coming with Battlefield 2042. Being developed by Ripple Effect Studios (previously DICE LA), Battlefield Portal lets players design their own match experiences by mixing maps and elements from past series entries with Battlefield 2042, so fans of previous entries who dont like 2042’s new additions will have somewhere to relive past games with the Portal mode.

These experiences can be shared with the community through a web-based platform for both console and PC players, so the replayability and creativity are heavily promoted in this side of Battlefield 2042. To read our article on what was shown, click here.
