Electronic Art’s Q3 2022 Earnings Call was expected to deliver a future roadmap for Battlefield 2042. However, the developers have instead announced a delay in the arrival of Season One. The first massive content drop for the game has been pushed back to early summer of 2022.

DICE and Ripple Effect have stated via the official Battlefield Twitter account that they are continuously listening to and taking action based on player feedback. Some of the key features that are expected to arrive in the forthcoming updates include the following:

  • Player scoreboardVoice chat (VOIP)Player profileReworked ping systemSeveral other changes, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements.

Since the game’s launch, the Battlefield 2042 dev team has earned a bad reputation with communication. They have failed to even acknowledge some of the major issues that have been identified by the community. The game has a long way to go until it reaches a polished and healthy state.

Furthermore, Battlefield 2042 is also giving out the Steadfast Legendary Bundle as compensation for the delay of Season One. This exclusive cosmetic pack will be available to players who’ve bought the Gold and Ultimate Editions of the game.
