According to the live stream page of BiliBili, there will be a streaming event for the Battlefield 2042 beta from October 6-9. At this time, it isn’t clear if those are only the dates for the streaming event or if the beta will just be available for that period. However, given that October 6-9 doesn’t cover the full weekend it’s safe to assume that the Battlefield 2042 beta will run past the dates mentioned on BiliBili. Battlefield 2042 is due out in November after recently being delayed from October 22 to November 19. The delay was blamed on development issues related to the global pandemic. When the delay was announced on September 15, an update on the Battlefield 2042 beta start date was also promised for later this month. With the BiliBili leak and only a few days left in the month, it appears as though we may have official confirmation any day now.
Battlefield 2042 is one of the most anticipated games of the busy fall launch window and the beta launch is keenly awaited by players. The European Union has collapsed, climate refugees are struggling to find hospitable places to live and 70% of the world’s satellites have crashed back down to Earth. The global blackout caused by the collapse of the satellite system leads to an all-out war between the United States and Russia in 2042. There will be no single-player campaign in Battlefield 2042 but gamers will experience the story of the game through the multiplayer gameplay. The beta will be the first chance for players to experience the new gameplay.
