As promised yesterday, today brought us the official reveal of the Battlefield 1 single player trailer. Giving us our first real look at the single player campaign within Battlefield 1, the new trailer shows a bunch of new characters and offers just a tease of what the story may be. With Battlefield 1 taking players all the way back to World War 1, the single player campaign in BF1 should be one of the series’ most unique yet. The trailer seems to imply this, showing off interesting new characters, settings, vehicles, weapons, and more. There doesn’t seem to be any single standout main character, with there being multiple theaters of war for the player to jump between.
Of course, the star of the show is the action though, with EA and DICE once again delivering a pulse pounding experience. If they haven’t won any awards for this stuff, then they really should. This trailer is more focused on characters though, and we do get some heavy emotional moments. We’ll have to wait and see how the campaign plays out, and if there will be more of a focus on story and character.
Battlefield 1 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21st.
