Batman: Soul of the Dragon hits digital and home video next month. Given this, Warner Bros. are continuing to promote this new entry in the DC animated movie canon.
In this latest enticing clip, we see Bruce Wayne (David Giuntoli), Shiva (Kelly Hu), Ben Turner (Michael Jai White) and Richard Dragon (Mark Dacascos) watch martial arts master O-Sensei (James Hong) unveil the all-powerful Soul Breaker. This sword isn’t any ordinary weapon – it possesses the power to tear a hole in time and space. Probably not the kind of thing you’d want to leave lying out on the street.

Batman: Soul of the Dragon is DC’s thirteenth animated Batman movie. It is directed by Sam Liu, who has directed multiple DC animated features, and written by Jeremy Adams. Unlike many of its brothers and sisters, the film is not based on a comic book story. Instead, it has a completely originally-crafted story of its own.
The story takes place in the 1970s and has Bruce Wayne/Batman join forces with members of a secluded martial arts training school to take down a deadly menace from his past. Due for release in January 2021, the film follows DC’s last animated Batman movie, Batman: Death in the Family (October 13, 2020). The aforementioned flick differs from Soul of the Dragon in that it is based on a famous comic storyline. It also boasts viewer interactivity features, leading to a number of different endings.
The Soul of the Dragon’s home release comes packed with extra features. From a documentary covering how the 70’s era inspired the film to a sneak peek of DC’s next animated feature, Justice Society World War II, the set has much to offer dedicated fans.
